Job Descriptions:
Our client is currently looking for an Exterior and Interior Designer for the Design Studio in Bay Area, CA that will:  Create compelling and appropriate design proposals for various concept and production car programs in the form of sketches, renderings and 3D digital models.

 

This position will work daily with Designers/Design managers to focus on work output (objective, quality, and schedule).

 

Duties:

·         Research and analyze trends in overall packaging, dimension, materials and products using online and print resources and by attending auto shows and other events.

·         Create various themes based on trends and research. Create and display ': virtual sketch board': presentations or physical drawings.

·         Meet with Management, Engineering, Marketing and Design Team to discuss design criteria. Incorporate design criteria provided.

·         Develop design over engineering package using ALIAS software. Oversee the development of CAS 3D Digital models.

·         Oversee the development of the 1/1 and scale models by clay sculptors and fabricators. Develop hard parts using ALIAS and other CAD software. Consult with Engineering and Manufacturing to meet styling and manufacturing requirements.

·         Create high-quality ': Publication Images' for use in Press Releases and Design Brochures using Photoshop, ALIAS Design Studio, and photographed images.

·         Provide oversight, guidance and support to vendors producing one-of-a-kind ': Concept Vehicles' for auto shows worldwide.

·         Travel up to 20% of time domestically and internationally.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Automotive, or Transportation Design

·         3+ years’ experience as a digital designer in the automotive industry

·         Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record

·         Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Our client is currently looking for a Digital Modeler for the Design Studio in Bay Area, CA that will create accurate 3D models incorporating design intention using Alias or Catia.

This position will work daily with Designers/Design managers to focus on work output (objective, quality, and schedule). The Digital Modeler will apply expertise to assigned projects and deliver concept modeling to class A modeling.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide all aspects of digital modeling from sketch to class A and interior/exterior work.
  • Communicate with designers to interpret and define the designer's design intent.
  • Advise and suggest countermeasures to designers when modeling meets structural or design issues.
  • Support designers in their development activities with engineers.
  • Work in conjunction with development team's project timeline.
  • Report progress to supervisor and summarize project contents as necessary.

Looking for a Color Material Designer for the Design Studio in Bay Area, CA that will: Work together with the cross functional Design team create Concepts, Develop and Industrialize the color, material and surface finish.


This position will work daily with Designers/Design managers to focus on work output (objective, quality, and schedule).

 

Duties:

·         Develop and design surface materials (graphics, color, trims, textiles and grains) for visible surfaces and parts through sketches or 3D images. (e.g. exterior and interior form)

·         Initiate the development of master samples and secure the right quality level on the intended surface materials

·         Lead the development and construction of 3D digital and physical models regarding surface material

·         Continuously develop knowledge about the industry, applications and the customers’ needs     

·         Support the Chief Designer and Site Manager with input to the general improvement of the processes, strategies and competencies of the Design department, for the benefit of the company and the brand
